Exhibitors express keen interest from 49 860 (2019: 74 100) visitors – "Moving Shadows" Show enthuses audience

Finally again IBO: In springtime weather the IBO and its sister fairs "Neues BauEn", "Urlaub Freizeit Reisen" and "Garten". "Fancy shared experiences and versatile shopping pleasure. During the five days of the fair, the audience shopped and feasted through the halls, received advice on holidays, gardens, construction and living and was entertained by a varied program. "After a long forced break, the IBO has started again and is thus not only bringing the Häfler Traditionsmesse back to its original location. The exhibition's managing director Klaus Wellmann and project manager Julia Graf summarize.

Full shopping bags, moving shows and a good mood with live music and street food: "Despite the smaller hall set-up, the positive response of the visitors shows, that we hit the bull's eye with our themed offer and new show highlights such as the 'Moving Shadows' and the IBO BBQ Family with a wide audience "After three years without a regular IBO, this year was an important step to get back to working temperature together with our customers and the spring trade fair with the variety of topics for which they were invited. The project manager is looking forward to the 75-year IBO in the coming year.

The fact that IBO was finally able to start again is not only pleasing to the trade fair organizers: "I am very satisfied with the trade fair, we really had a lot of discussions and can record great sales. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. The IBO is still an important trade fair, the visitors are in a very positive mood and are happy that something is going again," says Manfred Starke, owner of Aqua Fit Schwimmbadbau.

Leo Wildmoser, Managing Director of Wildmoser KG/Autohaus Dreher, also shares this opinion: "Presenting us here is important to show what we have on offer, who we are and to maintain contact with our customers – both with new customers and with existing customers. We were able to make many new contacts and send offers already during the fair days. "And not only that: "A married couple, who originally did not plan to come to the IBO, even bought a camper van at the fair after consulting at our booth," Wildmoser reports on the sale of the vehicle on site.

The specialist interest of the audience is also particularly positive: "Interest in and popularity for natural building materials has increased enormously. Many visitors inform themselves in advance in order to come to my stand, often with specific technical questions. We have been represented at IBO for more than ten years and again this year we are satisfied with the great interest of visitors – we will definitely be back next year. The contacts I make at the fair, as well as the business I conclude through it, often develop into long-term cooperation. This is why the trade fair is also important for customer care," reports Holger Längle, Erfolgsgemeinschaft Lehmbau GmbH.

Exhibitors such as Dirk Piorun, Managing Director of Parkhotel Waldlust, are also pleased about the lively post-trade fair business and sales: "I was at the fair the last time 2017, because it was very difficult for us. This year, however, we managed to accommodate the IBO and I have to say: sales exceeded expectations already on Friday. It used to be a great audience at the fair, but it got even better. The visitors now also come from the Allgäu and Austria, which is optimal for us. I'll be back next year. "

The interactive information and education offered by the German Bundestag in the Foyer West also attracted political celebrities such as Volker Mayer-Lay (member of the German Bundestag) and Klaus Hoher (member of the Landtag) to the IBO. The younger politically interested audience got their money's worth in the second edition of the Young Speaker Contest. Ten students took part in the competition on Friday of the fair and gave short lectures on topics that move them. I was fascinated by the topics the young people dealt with. I was also impressed by her eloquence and the use of stylistic devices. There was no shyness to simply pick up a microphone to speak freely on stage," says Juror Reinhold Lange, chairman of the umbrella association of youth councils Baden-Württemberg.

Versatile shopping pleasure, conviviality and colourful entertainment promise the IBO and its sister fairs also next year from the 20. until 24. March 2024. This is a special occasion, as Messe Friedrichshafen and IBO will celebrate 75-year celebrations next year.
