Strong international presence / 576 exhibitors and significant increase in visitors
Following three intensive trade fair days, CastForge 2026 – the international trade fair for castings and forgings with processing – has come to a successful end. From 9 to 11 June 2026, 576 exhibitors presented their latest ideas and solutions that covered everything from blanks manufacturing and their processing to finished components.
The arrival of 576 exhibitors from 30 countries, an increase of 18 percent compared to the previous event, further emphasised its strong international appeal. The share of exhibitors coming from outside Germany was also considerably higher at 71 percent, with the core group of exhibitors coming from Europe. The increasing global reach of the event was additionally highlighted by the number of international visitors (42 percent). Overall, CastForge 2026 welcomed a record number of around 6,000 trade visitors from 45 countries and further confirmed its market significance and role as a key European platform for the metalworking supplier industry. “Despite what is a tense market situation, CastForge 2026 is sending a clear message: it is the international trade fair for the industry. This is where new partnerships are made and solutions are discovered that will have an impact far beyond the trade fair,” says Roland Bleinroth, President of Messe Stuttgart.
Key figures: Visitor groups, countries of origin, industries
The visitor structure of CastForge 2026 confirms the event’s clear focus on decision-makers and technical experts. This is further highlighted by the fact that around 69 percent of trade visitors came from purchasing and procurement. A large number also came from outside Germany, with the highest increases from Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia. Many of these visitors took the opportunity to reassess their procurement strategies, qualify additional suppliers and strengthen existing partnerships. Key industries represented included mechanical and plant engineering, drive technology, passenger car and commercial vehicle construction, pump and compressor construction and engine manufacture. This broad spectrum of industrial customer industries shows that CastForge has been able to further strengthen its outstanding relevance to the market.“.
Major international appeal and clear focus
The major international appeal of the event was reflected in the trade fair halls. Exhibitors from numerous European countries, as well as other important procurement and sales markets, presented their products and services. The consistent focus on castings and forgings with processing was warmly welcomed by both visitors and exhibitors alike. The clever layout of the event ensured quick and easy accessibility, the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals and a high concentration of relevant contacts. For buyers, developers and technical decision-makers, CastForge succeeded in providing a compact overview of the latest industry services and solutions.
Orientation in strained supply chains
The global supply chains remain under pressure: volatile commodity prices, interrupted transport routes and increasing demands for sustainability and efficiency are shaping the market. With this in mind, CastForge 2026 provided many companies with an indispensable platform for guidance and dialogue. During numerous discussions at the stands, it was clear that the industry is more than ready to adapt. Investment in more efficient production processes, diversified procurement structures and long-term partnerships are to further strengthen the resilience of the value chains.
Experts took to the trade fair stage during compact expert presentations, panel discussions and practical case studies and provided informative insights into key themes such as energy and resource efficiency, digitalisation, process reliability, sustainability and securing skilled personnel.
Great synergies also resulted from the partnership with Make-to-Order Days, the new B2B trade fair for precision parts, custom manufacturing and machining, which took place at the same time and provided further opportunities for connection and collaboration.
Positive signals from industry and the associations
Industry partners and associations confirmed the impressive benefits of CastForge as a specialist platform for exchange, visibility and business initiation – particularly in these challenging economic times. Both the visitors and exhibitors emphasised how personal dialogue remains a top priority: from chance encounters at the stands to scheduled meetings, CastForge provided ideal conditions for this.
The next CastForge will take place from 20 to 22 June 2028 at Messe Stuttgart – once again alongside the two-day Make-to-Order Days (MTO Days), the B2B trade fair for precision parts, custom manufacturing and machining.
