The Intertool X Welding 2026 is available from 21. to 24. April all expectations were raised and impressively proved: Austrian industry is not only alive, it is ready for the big break. As the new organizer, Austrian Exhibition Experts GmbH (AEE) was able to present a result: That speaks for itself: With around 11,000 visitors, the original goal was far exceeded and an unmistakable sign against any crisis mood.
A liberation blow for Upper Austrian industry
At a time when the industry is struggling with challenges, it needed more than just a trade fair – it needed an initial ignition. The Intertool X Welding 2026 was precisely this first, decisive step for the crisis-ridden industry in Upper Austria. Already the solemn opening with high-profile guests such as Federal Minister Mag. Dr. Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, WKOO President Mag.a Doris Hummer and IV President Georg Knill stressed: This is where the road to the future is laid.

RSI Challenge: Here, industry expertise was made live as teams developed complex robot solutions over four days.
Startup & Special Areas: Innovative business models in the startup area and specialized zones such as the pay-ready area specifically promoted economic exchange.
Strong conclusion and vision for the future
With more than 300 exhibitors from eleven countries on 28,000 square meters, the fair has confirmed its role as Austria’s most important platform. “The Intertool X Welding 2026 has shown, how important personal encounter and innovative formats are for the future of our industry,” summarizes Clara Wiltschke, Managing Director of Austrian Exhibition Experts.
