Milan, 28 February 2026 – The latest edition of PTE - Promotion Trade Exhibition, Italy’s leading event dedicated to promotional merchandise, corporate gifts, promotional textiles and personalization technologies, concluded on 23 January, confirming its growing role as a key point of reference for the sector in Europe as well.
The event’s positive outcome was reflected in attendance figures - 31,019 total visitors (a figure that also includes the co-located events Quick&More and Milano Home), with 8% coming from abroad - but above all in the constructive and dynamic atmosphere that characterized the exhibition. Stands were animated by curious and motivated professionals, special areas were well attended and constantly buzzing, and training sessions were widely appreciated and actively participated in.
The 150 brands exhibiting at PTE - up 10% compared to 2025, with 37% of the total coming from abroad, representing countries such as Poland, France and Spain (for a total of 14 foreign countries represented) - were the true protagonists of this edition. They showcased a varied and rich offering that combined the great “classics” of promotional gadgets with new and original ideas, without overlooking personalization technologies capable of delivering increasingly impactful, cost-effective and scalable solutions.
MORE UNIQUE THAN RARE: FROM GADGET TO CULT OBJECT
At PTE, promotional items made it possible to witness firsthand an increasingly consolidated trend: the move beyond the concept of the short-lived gadget - typically embodied in simple proposals designed for immediate but brief engagement - in favor of a personalized gift concept, a quality item that is useful, attractive, durable and capable of embodying the storytelling of reliability, sustainability and authenticity of the brand that has chosen it as an ambassador of its values.
But that is not all. Products destined to become ambassadors for the most prestigious brands are increasingly presented as experiences to be lived: they tell stories of memorable events, collective rituals or personal moments; they become prizes to be earned; they serve as companions to small daily habits shared with loved ones; they define style and set trends. In short, they transform into cult objects. Collectible because they are rare, or to be carefully preserved because they are truly unique, these items do not merely represent a brand - they embody it and make it an integral part of the lives of those who own them.
At PTE, this trend took shape in numerous products, demonstrating how companies in the sector have fully grasped an increasingly specific and targeted demand for items with personality and appeal, and ever more capable of being part of a value-driven supply chain - from environmental responsibility to a focus on people.
TECHNOLOGY, EXPERTISE AND PASSION: CUSTOM X HITS THE MARK, BETWEEN MACHINERY AND TRAINING
Custom X, the area dedicated to innovative applications for customizing products and gadgets, once again enjoyed strong attendance within PTE.
This space highlighted the progress and versatility offered by today’s personalization technologies, while also making it clear how these systems can deliver truly effective customization solutions because they are powered by a human, beating heart - that of the operators who understand brand owners’ needs, interpret their requests with creativity and fully leverage the potential of current technological advancements.
To facilitate dialogue between those seeking customized items and those truly capable of making them unique, the Custom X Arena hosted a series of meetings during the exhibition, characterized by the sharing of experiences, techniques and best practices in a collaborative and informal atmosphere.
In particular, Angelo Barzaghi, founder of the Accademia Serigrafica, Piero La Puca, CEO of T-Shirt Makers and Customate, and Fabrizio Selis, partner at Mst – Market Screentypographic, took part in the round table entitled “The Evolution of Personalization – Questions, Ideas and Solutions,” which was very well received by the audience attending the exhibition.
Further enhancing the opportunities offered by Custom X was the concurrent staging of PTE with BRAND POWER, the only event in Italy connecting reward suppliers and brands with marketing professionals from industry, retail and services. The event took place within MILANO HOME, the annual meeting point for the independent retail world dedicated to homeware, decoration, textiles, giftware and fragrances.
PTE has thus confirmed its role as a reference hub for a dynamic market ready to innovate and impress.
The next edition of PTE - Promotion Trade Exhibition will take place at Fiera Milano from 20 to 22 January 2027.
